On this site you can access public information shared by continental institutions, regional organizations and member states and contribute to policy-making processes. This beta site is in a public testing phase before the platform's official release in June 2023.

Why build the citizen engagement platform?

Agenda 2063 marks a significant paradigm shift by acknowledging that sovereignty rests with the people. At the core of this assertion is the active participation of citizens as a critical catalyst for the attainment of peace, good governance, and prosperity of the continent. By placing citizens at the heart of efforts to attain continental integration, prosperity, and development, the AUDA-NEPAD is leading efforts in the development and implementation of a new digital Citizen Engagement Platform (CEP)

About AUDA-NEPAD

AUDA-NEPAD was established in 2010 to integrate the then New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) into African Union (AU) structures and processes. In 2019, NEPAD became the African Union Development Agency. AUDA -NEPAD facilitates and coordinates continent-wide programs and projects. It also mobilizes resources and engages the global community, regional economic communities and member states to implement programs and projects.

The Citizen Engagement Platform CEP main objective is to ensure participation of African citizens in policymaking processes through the provision of access to information as well as facilitating opportunities for interaction, exchanges and ultimately co-creation of solutions and ideas with policymakers through digital and non-digital approaches towards the attainment of Agenda 2063.
